Indian Military Academy's Army Cadet College Wing Celebrates Graduation of 71 Cadets in Dehradun

Seventy-one cadets from the Army Cadet College (ACC) Wing of the Indian Military Academy (IMA) celebrated their graduation on Friday, having completed three years of rigorous academic and military training. The graduation ceremony took place at the IMA Auditorium in Dehradun with IMA Commandant Lt Gen Nagendra Singh officiating the event. He presented the graduates with bachelor's degrees.

In his address, Lt Gen Singh extended his congratulations to the cadets, emphasizing that traits such as character, discipline, courage, motivation, a positive mindset, and professional competence are essential for distinguished military leadership.

The degrees awarded were from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Among the graduates, 30 were from the Science stream and 41 from the Humanities stream, all from the ACC Wing’s 126th course. These graduates are set to begin their pre-commissioning training at the IMA in January as officer cadets.

The Kargil Company earned the Commandant’s Banner, having excelled in various areas such as sports, physical training, weapon handling, academics, debates, service subjects, camps, and interior economy. This accolade recognized the company as the champion for its superior performance.

The graduation ceremony marked an important milestone for the cadets, bringing them a step closer to their commissioning into the Indian Army.
