Indian Coast Guard Marks Milestone with 82nd Law & Operations Course Passing Out Parade

The Indian Coast Guard Training Centre (CGTC) in Kochi marked a significant event on August 4, 2026, with the Passing Out Parade of the 82nd Indian Coast Guard Law & Operations Course, celebrating the commencement of a new cohort of Coast Guard officers into their professional roles.

The District Commander of Coast Guard District Headquarters No. 4 (Kerala & Mahe) presided over the parade, extending congratulations to the officers who successfully completed the demanding training course. The ceremony also honored officers who excelled academically and showed professional and exemplary conduct throughout their training.

The Law & Operations Course is designed to equip young officers with essential skills and knowledge for maritime law enforcement and operational duties specific to the Coast Guard. The training encompasses various subjects critical to protecting India's maritime interests, law enforcement, and coastal security operations.

Upon course completion, these officers are now ready for deployment across operational units of the Indian Coast Guard. They will receive watchkeeping certification aboard Coast Guard vessels, preparing them to take on operational roles at sea.

During his address, the Reviewing Officer praised the graduates for their dedication, discipline, and professionalism. He encouraged them to maintain the highest standards of integrity and service in their duties, which involve safeguarding India's extensive maritime domain.
