Indian Army's ARTRAC Honors Units with 2025 GOC-in-C Citations for Excellence in Training and Readiness

During a ceremony at the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) headquarters in Shimla, Lt Gen Devendra Sharma, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of ARTRAC, presented the prestigious GOC-in-C Unit Citations to five military units recognized for their outstanding contributions to training and operational readiness.

The Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Combat Army Aviation Training School (CAATS), and Army Airborne Training School (AATS) were among the honored institutions. They were acknowledged for their innovative training approaches and the development of advanced curricula, which play a crucial role in shaping the future of the Indian Army.

Additionally, two infantry units, 4 MAHAR (BORDERS) and 118 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) GRENADIERS, received citations for their exemplary standards in training and commitment to operational duties.

The awards were accepted by the Commandants, Commanding Officers, and Subedar Majors of the respective units, highlighting their professionalism and unwavering dedication to enhancing the Army’s training programs.

The GOC-in-C Unit Citations reflect the Indian Army’s commitment to excellence, ongoing improvement, and readiness to face future challenges.
