The Indian Army's elite units, 4 PARA (SF) and 9 PARA (SF), have been honored with the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Unit Appreciation. 4 PARA (SF) played a decisive and high-impact role in Operation Sindoor, earning them the Unit Appreciation. The commendation was accepted by Colonel Rohit Suri, Kirti Chakra, the battalion's Commanding Officer, alongside Subedar Major Sanjay Bisht.

Similarly, 9 PARA (SF) was awarded the COAS Unit Appreciation for its outstanding performance in the same operation. Colonel Deepak Kumar Upadhyay, Shaurya Chakra, the Commanding Officer of 9 PARA (SF), along with Subedar Major Pafam Subbah, received the award.
