Indian Army Trains Armenian Soldiers in Advanced Sniper Course at Mhow
A two-week Tailor-Made Sniper Course for personnel of the Armenian Army concluded at The Infantry School in Mhow on September 19, 2026, adding fresh momentum to defence engagement between India and Armenia.
The specialised training programme was designed to build sniper craft skills through a demanding curriculum that combined precision shooting with combat firing. Armenian Army personnel received intensive instruction aimed at improving the fieldcraft, accuracy and operational abilities needed for sniper missions.
According to the Indian Army, the course was not limited to technical training. It also created a platform for soldiers and instructors from both armies to exchange professional knowledge, operational experience and best practices related to sniper employment and battlefield use.
The engagement was intended to do more than improve individual soldiering skills. By bringing together personnel from the Indian and Armenian Armed Forces, the course helped deepen professional interaction and support greater interoperability, while both sides shared expertise drawn from their own operational and training backgrounds.
The Indian Army said the programme further strengthened the strategic partnership between the two countries and reinforced bonds of friendship, mutual trust and professional cooperation between their armed forces.
The Infantry School at Mhow is among the Indian Army’s premier training institutions and conducts specialised courses in infantry tactics, weapons and combat skills for Indian personnel as well as members of friendly foreign militaries.
