Indian Army Successfully Intercepts Infiltration Attempt at LoC in Rajouri's Keri Sector

Indian Army troops effectively thwarted an infiltration attempt by heavily armed terrorists at the Line of Control (LoC) in the Barat-Gala area of the Keri sub sector, located in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district. This was confirmed by official sources on Saturday.

Sources indicated that the terrorists were intercepted by Indian forces while trying to cross the LoC from the other side of the border. Officials stated, "Indian Army troops on LoC foiled an infiltration attempt of heavily armed terrorists who were trying to sneak in from AIOS at Barat-Gala in the Keri sub sector of Rajouri."

A significant exchange of gunfire took place between the soldiers and the infiltrators, leading to a fierce encounter. The operation likely averted a major security breach, demonstrating the troops' high level of alertness and preparedness in this sensitive border region.

Security forces continue to keep the area under close surveillance, with search operations ongoing to ensure no other threats are present. This attempted infiltration underscores the persistent efforts by terror groups to destabilize peace in Jammu and Kashmir, even as Indian security forces maintain a strong presence along the LoC.
