Sanjay Singh Saini, a soldier hailing from the village of Kwartan in Haryana's Kaithal district, tragically lost his life while serving in the demanding environment of Leh-Ladakh. The somber news reached the village on Monday, casting a shadow of grief over the community.

Coming from a modest background, Sanjay is survived by his wife, two sons aged 14 and 11, his elderly mother, and an elder brother. His father had recently passed away, prompting Sanjay's return home for the funeral.
Army officials have stated that Sanjay Singh's post-mortem examination will be conducted in Kargil. His body will then be transported from Leh to Chandigarh and subsequently taken to his hometown via Ambala. The final rites are scheduled to be conducted with full military and state honors on Wednesday.
