Indian Army Revises JAG-123 Course Notification; Vacancies Unified for Both Genders

The Indian Army has released an amendment to previous announcements regarding the Judge Advocate General Entry 123 Course, set for April 2026, applicable to both male and female candidates.

According to the updated notification, the number of vacancies for men and women has been consolidated, resulting in a total of 10 seats available for the SSC (JAG) Entry 123 Course.

Initially, there were five positions announced for each gender. However, the corrigendum specifies that these vacancies will now be allocated jointly, rather than being split between men and women.

The amendment highlights that the Indian Army aligns the combined vacancies for both genders with operational and administrative necessities, considering current and future force demands.

It is also clarified that the processes of application, SSB shortlisting (cut-off), selection, and merit will be based solely on the combined vacancies, which depend on the applications received for this course.

This revision aims to provide more flexibility in recruitment planning while ensuring transparency and fairness in the selection process.
