Indian Army Highlights Indigenous Drone Technologies at Inno-Yodha Competition

The Indian Army's Dot On Target Division, operating under the Sapta Shakti Command, recently organized the Inno-Yodha Competition at the Manekshaw Centre. The event highlighted 75 indigenous innovations developed in the 2024–25 period, underscoring India's progress towards defense self-reliance. The exhibition concentrated on drones, counter-drone technologies, IT applications, and enhancements in operational capabilities.

Military personnel showcased advanced systems, such as vehicle-mounted weapons, handheld drones, and sophisticated counter-drone platforms. These demonstrations reflect the Army's commitment to incorporating domestically developed solutions to boost battlefield efficacy.

Experts noted the strategic importance of the technologies on display, which align with global warfare trends and emphasize specialized capabilities like artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and advanced sensors. Before being integrated into service, these innovations will be evaluated through research and development, design, and projects by the Army Technology Board.

The Inno-Yodha Competition emphasizes the Army's dedication to technological advancement, indicating a future where indigenous innovations significantly enhance operational readiness and national security.
