Indian Army Conducts Successful Operation in Kupwara, Uncovers Terrorist Weapons Cache

A significant counter-terrorism operation under Operation Nagni TOP, involving the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and BSF Kashmir, led to the discovery of a terrorist hideout in Kupwara district's Kalaroos area. This operation resulted in the recovery of a substantial cache of arms and ammunition.

The three-day joint effort was initiated after receiving specific intelligence input. During the search, security forces found a pistol, two magazines, twelve grenades, ammunition, and other warlike materials, as reported by the Chinar Corps in a post on X.

This operation occurred amidst increased security protocols in Jammu and Kashmir, coinciding with the anniversary of the revocation of Article 370.

In another recent development, a collaborative operation by the Indian Army, J&K Police, CRPF, and the Special Operations Group resulted in the neutralization of a terrorist in Kulgam's Akhal Devsar area. The encounter commenced late Friday following credible intelligence about terrorist activity, leading to a fierce gunfight that lasted overnight.
