Indian Army Conducts Heroic Rescue of Injured Civilians at 15,000 ft in Ladakh
At an altitude of nearly 15,000 feet in Ladakh, Indian Army soldiers executed a rapid and brave rescue operation, saving two civilians who were critically injured in a vehicle accident near Durbuk.
Confronting severe cold, thin air, and hazardous terrain, the Army personnel quickly arrived at the accident site. Due to the lack of immediate vehicular access, the soldiers transported the injured civilians on their backs, provided needed first-aid resuscitation, and successfully moved them to the nearest medical facility for further care.
