Indian Army Commando Course Concludes at Belagavi, Sepoy Rajendar Singh Khati Honored as Best Student
The Indian Army's Commando Course concluded on October 31, 2025, at the Junior Leaders Wing (JLW) in Belagavi. This event marked the end of a training program renowned for its intense mental and physical demands.
International Participation and Intense Training
The course is known for evaluating participants on their physical endurance, tactical skills, and leadership capabilities under extreme pressure. This year, it included personnel from the Indian Army and four Junior Leaders from Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs) — Benin, Botswana, Cameroon, and the Philippines. This diverse participation highlights the Indian Army’s commitment to enhancing global military collaboration and shared learning with partner nations.

Recognising Outstanding Achievements
The closing ceremony featured an address by Maj Gen Rakesh Manocha, Commander of the Junior Leaders Wing, who also recognized the top achievers of the course.
Sepoy Rajendar Singh Khati from the 22 KUMAON Regiment was named the Best Student for his remarkable performance, discipline, and leadership throughout the rigorous training.
Corporal Jay Lord C Pasaraba of the Philippine Army received the accolade of Best Foreign Student, demonstrating the strong camaraderie and professionalism shared among the participants from different nations.

The Commando Course at JLW Belagavi consistently maintains its reputation for developing leaders who are prepared for modern warfare with the necessary mental resilience, tactical acumen, and operational expertise.

The event underscored the Junior Leaders Wing’s significant role in training future military leaders and reinforcing the bond between India and its friendly foreign partners through shared experiences and mutual respect.
