Indian Armed Forces to Participate in Multilateral Exercise Bright Star 2025 in Egypt

More than 700 members from the Indian Armed Forces and the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff are preparing to engage in the Multilateral Exercise 'Bright Star 2025'. This event is slated to take place in Egypt between August 28 and September 10, 2025.

Hosted by Egypt in partnership with the United States since 1980, the exercise is recognized as one of the most significant tri-service multilateral military exercises in the region.

This year, the exercise will feature several key activities:

Live firing demonstrations by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, showcasing their operational capabilities.
Command post exercises focused on enhancing joint planning, decision-making, and operational coordination.
Short training exercises concentrating on modern warfare tactics across land, sea, and air domains.
Subject matter expert interactions on the evolving aspects of contemporary military operations.

India's participation underscores its dedication to regional peace, stability, and security, while enhancing jointness, interoperability, and defense cooperation with allied nations.

The previous edition of Exercise Bright Star, held in 2023, included multiple countries, including India, and the 2025 edition aims to build upon that foundation.
