Indian Air Force Conducts Challenging Night-Time MEDEVAC in Kishtwar Sector
The Indian Air Force has successfully conducted a challenging night-time Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) operation in the Kishtwar sector, airlifting two critically injured individuals amid difficult terrain and adverse weather conditions.
The operation, marked by precision, was undertaken during the night over rugged mountainous regions. This was made feasible through the IAF's intensive Night Vision Goggles (NVG) training, which equips aircrew to operate effectively and safely even in low-visibility scenarios.
Joint Ops Stamina Honing (JOSH) exercises have institutionalized this operational readiness, serving as a crucial initiative to enhance jointness and interoperability among the Armed Forces.
