India Strengthens Defence Ties with Kenya by Providing INSAS Rifles to Navy
In a notable advancement of maritime and defense collaboration, India has transferred 100 INSAS rifles and 50,000 rounds of ammunition to the Kenyan Navy. The handover took place during a ceremony aboard the INS Trikand docked at Mombasa.
The transfer was officiated by Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command, who presented the arms to Major General Paul Otieno representing the Kenya Defence Forces.

This initiative highlights the strengthening defense ties between India and Kenya, particularly in the realm of maritime security. The equipment is intended to boost Kenya's operational capabilities and contribute to regional security efforts in the Indian Ocean.
