Exercise Dustlik 2026 Commences: Indian and Uzbekistan Armies Focus on Joint Special Operations
The seventh edition of Exercise Dustlik 2026, a bilateral military exercise between the Indian Army and the Uzbekistan Army, began at the Gurumsaray Field Training Area in Namangan on April 12, 2026.
This joint exercise, which runs until April 25, aims to improve operational synergy, interoperability, and joint tactical capabilities between the two military forces.

Exercise Dustlik 2026 focuses on conducting Joint Special Operations, specifically aimed at the neutralization of unlawful armed groups, which mirror current counter-terrorism scenarios.
The exercise also places importance on the integration of advanced technologies, helping both armies enhance coordination and adopt best practices in modern warfare tactics.

The opening ceremony featured Major General Saidov Oybek Azadovich, Commander of the Eastern Military District of Uzbekistan, as the Chief Guest, marking the commencement of the exercise.

This exercise underscores the strengthening defence relations between India and Uzbekistan, reaffirming their joint commitment to regional stability, global peace, and security.
