India Conducts Successful Test-Firing of Prithvi-II and Agni-I Ballistic Missiles

India has successfully conducted test launches of its short-range ballistic missiles, Prithvi-II and Agni-I, at the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha. These operations, overseen by the Strategic Forces Command, achieved all set objectives and confirmed essential operational and technical parameters.

Sources have indicated that the missile systems functioned as anticipated during the tests, reinforcing India's strategic deterrence capabilities. The successful execution of these tests underscores the strength and dependability of India’s homegrown ballistic missile technology.

The Prithvi-II missile, with a striking range of approximately 350 kilometers, and the Agni-I missile, which can target areas up to 700 kilometers away, form a crucial part of India's policy of credible minimum deterrence. Both missiles incorporate advanced navigation and guidance technologies, providing high precision and effectiveness in practical scenarios.

Experts in defense have noted that these tests highlight India's ongoing dedication to maintaining a dependable and agile strategic arsenal. Conducted as part of user-training exercises, the launches are routine measures to ensure the nation’s nuclear-capable missile forces are prepared and operational.

The Ministry of Defence and the Strategic Forces Command praised the success of the trials, emphasizing the skill of the involved personnel and the reliability of India’s defense mechanisms in safeguarding national interests.
