IMA Cadet Exercise Equips 453 Future Officers with Advanced Combat Casualty Care Skills
The Yodha Rakshak Combat Casualty Care training was effectively carried out for Officer Cadets at the Indian Military Academy (IMA). This initiative was led by an elite team of instructors from the Officers Training College, AMC Centre & College, marking a significant advancement in enhancing battlefield lifesaving skills among the Army's future leaders.

A total of 453 cadets participated in the intensive program, which integrated focused classroom sessions with comprehensive practical exercises. This training aimed to prepare them for effectively managing combat casualties in high-pressure operational scenarios. The curriculum included essential skills such as trauma management, control of hemorrhage, airway management, rapid evacuation procedures, and critical interventions required during the crucial initial hour following battlefield injuries.

Beyond training the officer cadets, the AMC instructor team also delivered an intensive Train-the-Trainers program for the medical staff at Military Hospital Dehradun and the Field Hospital. This effort is designed to establish a self-sustaining network of skilled trainers capable of continuously enhancing combat medical readiness within the unit.

The successful implementation of the Yodha Rakshak module underscores the Army's dedication to improving combat casualty care skills. This ensures that both future officers and medical personnel are equipped with the essential knowledge, confidence, and flexibility to save lives in the most challenging operational settings.
