Havildar Jhantu Ali 6 Para SF Made Supreme Sacrifice in Operation Birli Gali
In a major anti-terror operation launched in the Basantgarh area of Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir, Havildar Jhantu Ali Shaikh of the elite 6 PARA (Special Forces) laid down his life while valiantly engaging terrorists during Operation Birli Gali.
Acting on precise intelligence, the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps, in coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, initiated a joint counter-terror operation earlier today. As the forces moved in to confront the terrorists, a fierce exchange of fire ensued.
During the initial gunfight, Havildar Shaikh sustained critical injuries. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his wounds—marking the loss of a brave soldier who stood tall in the face of danger.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of White Knight Corps and all ranks paid their heartfelt tributes to the fallen warrior, stating:
"His indomitable courage and the valour of his team will never be forgotten. We salute his supreme sacrifice and stand in solidarity with his family in this moment of grief."
Havildar Jhantu Ali Shaikh was widely respected for his sharp tactical instincts, fearlessness in combat, and deep sense of duty. His loss is not just a blow to his unit but to the nation he served with unwavering commitment.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and continue operations to neutralize the remaining terrorists.
