Havildar Indresh Singh Named Best Student at Junior Leaders Academy Leadership Course
The Leadership & Management Course at the Junior Leaders Academy (JLA) in Bareilly wrapped up on January 29, 2026, with Havildar Indresh Singh from the Army Air Defence being named the Overall Best Student.
This course saw participation from Junior Leaders of the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and the Assam Rifles, highlighting a significant focus on fostering inter-service cooperation and joint leadership development.

During his address, Brigadier Gaurav Kapoor, Commandant of JLA, emphasized the crucial role of Junior Leaders in maintaining the ethos, discipline, and professional standards of the Indian Army. He stressed that Junior Leaders should lead by example and establish high standards in training and conduct to prepare a future-ready force.
The course concentrated on honing leadership, decision-making, and management skills essential in modern operational settings, reinforcing JLA Bareilly’s commitment to developing confident, capable, and value-driven leaders for the Indian armed forces.
