HAL Achieves ₹32,250 Crore Revenue for FY26 Amidst Supply Chain Disruptions, Ensures Future Growth
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has announced a provisional revenue of ₹32,250 crore for the fiscal year 2025–26, marking an increase from ₹30,981 crore in the previous year despite facing global supply chain challenges.
Steady Growth Amid Challenges
The company has managed to maintain its growth trajectory despite delays in critical programs such as the LCA Mk1A and HTT-40. HAL successfully mitigated these hurdles by expediting the delivery of helicopters and engines, coupled with robust performance in maintenance and services.

Robust Order Book
The order book of HAL increased significantly to ₹2.54 lakh crore by March 31, 2026, compared to ₹1.89 lakh crore at the beginning of the year. Major contributions to this growth came from an order for 97 LCA Mk1A aircraft valued at ₹62,370 crore and several additional contracts for helicopters and aircraft, ensuring revenue visibility for the next 7–8 years.
Expansion and Strategic Initiatives
In response to supply constraints, HAL has enhanced its resilience by strengthening manufacturing capabilities, launching new production lines, and establishing a strategic metal bank to secure raw materials. The company is also expanding into civil aviation and exports. Progress has been made in projects such as the Dhruv NG helicopter program, entering the small satellite market, and investing in digital transformation and renewable energy.

Future Outlook
HAL's recent performance underscores its strong execution capabilities, diversification beyond defense manufacturing, and improved resilience against global disruptions.
Conclusion
Despite facing supply chain obstacles, HAL's consistent growth, expanding order book, and strategic diversification have solidified its position as a crucial component of India's aerospace and defense sector, with promising prospects for continued growth.
