Gujarat NCC Debuts Cyber Security Camp for Cadets in Collaboration with NIELIT
A significant initiative aimed at enhancing technological awareness and cyber security education among young people has been launched by the NCC Directorate Gujarat in partnership with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT). The first Cyber Defender Camp is now underway for 160 NCC cadets from the states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.
The camp was officially opened by Smt Rivaba Ravindrasinh Jadeja, Minister of State for Education, Government of Gujarat. The event was marked by the presence of Major General Bimal Monga, SM, VSM, Additional Director General of the NCC Directorate Gujarat, along with other senior officials from NCC and NIELIT.

This groundbreaking program aims to equip cadets with specialized training in digital security and cyber defense, focusing on emerging technological fields. This aligns with the National Cadet Corps' broader mission to prepare young individuals for upcoming challenges in an increasingly digitalized environment.
Throughout the camp, cadets will be engaged in structured training that offers certification-oriented exposure to cyber security practices, cyber threat awareness, and digital resilience. The program is tailored to develop specific skills that will boost their technological proficiency and understanding of contemporary security challenges.

During her address, Smt Rivaba Jadeja applauded the NCC Directorate Gujarat for initiating innovative, technology-driven programs for youth development. She underscored the critical need for cyber awareness and digital security in today's interconnected society and praised the NCC for its role in cultivating technologically adept and responsible citizens.
The Minister remarked that these efforts would significantly contribute to building a "Sashakt and Viksit Bharat" by empowering young Indians with essential future-ready skills and leadership abilities.
Major General Bimal Monga reiterated the importance of incorporating technology education into youth development programs. He emphasized the NCC's dedication to equipping cadets with competencies suited to the changing landscapes of national security and technology.

The Cyber Defender Camp stands as a milestone in the NCC's ongoing efforts to blend leadership development with nation-building and technological empowerment. By introducing cadets to cyber security and digital defense concepts, this initiative aims to prepare a new generation of informed and capable leaders ready to contribute to India's digital advancement.
The camp is anticipated to serve as a prototype for similar technology-focused training initiatives nationwide, further enhancing the NCC's role in developing skilled, disciplined, and future-ready youth.
