Grenadiers Regimental Centre Claims Victory in 7th DG Infantry Cup 2026
The Grenadiers Regimental Centre has reached a significant milestone with its Agniveer shooters claiming victory in the 7th DG Infantry Cup 2026. This marks the first time the unit has won since the inception of the competition.
The team excelled during the event, achieving the top spot in the Air Rifle competition and a commendable fourth place in the Air Pistol category. These performances collectively secured them the first overall position, allowing them to claim the prestigious DG Infantry Cup.

The competition was fierce, with 23 Infantry Regiments participating in the event. The Grenadiers Regimental Centre's triumph, often known as the “White Hackle Army,” is a significant feat amidst such strong contenders.

The victory highlights the remarkable skills, discipline, and competitive spirit of the Agniveer shooters. It also underlines the enhanced capabilities of young soldiers recruited through the Agnipath scheme.
