Likabali, Arunachal Pradesh - General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, recently visited the 'Drone Excellence Centre' at Likabali Military Station, highlighting the military's focus on advancing operational capabilities using cutting-edge drone technology.
This visit aligns with the Indian Army's broader strategy to adopt new technological advancements under the initiatives titled "Year of Tech Absorption" and the "Decade of Transformation."
During the visit, General Dwivedi received a briefing on the internally developed drones and related technologies at the centre, which are crucial for enhancing the army's tactical and strategic prowess. The centre is strategically located and is dedicated to training personnel in drone fabrication, operation, and deployment, aiming to integrate these technologies at the unit level to boost operational readiness.
