General Upendra Dwivedi Oversees Commissioning of 525 Officer Cadets at IMA Parade

General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of the Army Staff, conducted a review of the Passing Out Parade at the Indian Military Academy (IMA). The event featured the 157th Regular Course, the 46th Technical Entry Scheme (TES), the 140th Technical Graduate Course (TGC), the 55th Short Service Commission (SCO) Course, and the TA Officers Entry Examination (OEE) 2023 Courses.

A total of 525 Officer Cadets, which included 34 cadets from friendly foreign nations, participated in the parade. Their march from the revered grounds of the IMA marked their official induction into the Armed Forces. The parade showcased precise drills, excellent coordination, and a remarkable turnout, all of which underscored the rigorous training and high standards maintained at the academy.

In his address to the newly commissioned officers, General Dwivedi extended his congratulations to the cadets and their proud families, acknowledging the support and sacrifices they have made. He emphasized the unique honor and responsibility that come with serving in the Armed Forces and reminded the officers of the nation's trust in them.

The General urged the Officer Cadets to pursue professional excellence, set examples through their leadership, and face the challenges of serving the nation. He highlighted the critical values of integrity, commitment, and adaptability in a changing security landscape.

The ceremony reaffirmed the Indian Military Academy's longstanding tradition of cultivating leaders who embody character, courage, and competence, prepared to serve the nation with honor and dedication.
