General Anil Chauhan Advocates for Joint Operations, Launches New Medal at Defence Services Staff College

General Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defence Staff, delivered an address to the officers participating in the 81st Staff Course and the Permanent Staff at the Defence Services Staff College. He emphasized the crucial roles of jointmanship and adaptability in contemporary warfare scenarios.

During his visit, General Chauhan introduced a new accolade, the “CDS Medal,” which will be awarded to the officer demonstrating exceptional jointness throughout the course. This initiative underscores the focus on fostering inter-service collaboration within the military.

In his remarks, General Chauhan discussed the transformative reforms currently underway in the Indian military. He highlighted the necessity for integrated operations as a response to the dynamic security environment.
