Eastern Air Command Conclave 2026 Strengthens Operational Readiness in Shillong
The Eastern Air Command (EAC) held its Commanders’ Conclave 2026 at the Headquarters in Shillong from January 2 to 3. This event brought together senior commanders to evaluate operational readiness and determine the future direction of the Command.
Air Marshal Surat Singh, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Air Command, addressed the conclave. He emphasized the importance of bolstering operational capabilities, enhancing combat readiness, and preparing for emerging security challenges in the eastern region.

Air Marshal Singh stressed the necessity of increased synergy and integration with the Indian Army and Navy, highlighting jointness as a vital component in modern warfare. He pointed out that effective coordination, information sharing, and joint planning among the Services are crucial for successful air operations and ensuring national security.

Throughout the conclave, commanders assessed significant operational, training, and administrative concerns, including force readiness, infrastructure advancement, and capability improvement. The discussions also focused on adapting to new threats, utilizing technology, and optimizing resources to maintain a strategic advantage.
