DRDO Scientists Engage with Naval Aviation Systems at INS Dega
A group of 40 scientists from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) made a visit to INS Dega to gain insights into the operational and technical aspects of the Indian Navy’s aviation division.
Throughout their visit, the scientists received briefings on various naval aircraft platforms, focusing on their operational capabilities. Additionally, the discussions highlighted DRDO's evolving role in promoting indigenisation and advancing technology within naval aviation systems.

The engagement provided these scientists with direct exposure to the operational activities and maintenance operations conducted at the naval air station.
Members of the DRDO delegation engaged with the personnel stationed at the air base, allowing them to understand the operational needs, challenges, and requirements specific to naval aviation.
This visit highlighted the increasing collaboration between India's defence research sector and the Armed Forces, aimed at fostering indigenous capability and enhancing self-sufficiency in vital aerospace and defence technologies.
The initiative exemplified the collaborative spirit between scientific research and military capability, contributing to national advancement and defence readiness.
