He praised the Air Force officer's outstanding leadership during the 1965 Indo-Pak War, for which Arjan Singh received the Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian award.

The Lieutenant Governor also underscored Arjan Singh’s notable contributions beyond the military, including his roles as a diplomat and as Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. In these capacities, Singh continued to demonstrate the dedication and integrity that characterized his military service.

Reflecting on Singh's lasting principles, Sandhu remarked that his humility, integrity, professionalism, and calmness under pressure continue to inspire many in India. He stressed that the best tribute to Singh’s legacy is to embody these values through dedicated service to the nation.

Sandhu expressed it was an honor to hold a position once occupied by Marshal Arjan Singh, noting that Singh's life remains a constant source of guidance and motivation.
