CRPF Chief G P Singh Conducts Security Review in South 24 Parganas Before Phase 2 West Bengal Elections
As preparations intensify for Phase 2 of the West Bengal Assembly Elections, occurring in less than 36 hours, Shri G P Singh, the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force, conducted a visit to Raghabpur St Paul’s High School in Diamond Harbour. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the security arrangements in place for the upcoming polls.
During his inspection, Singh focused on several key activities. He reviewed the deployment of personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). Furthermore, he engaged in interactions with the troops assigned to election duties and assessed the preparedness at a crucial polling station.

In addition to the inspections, Singh took the opportunity to address the security forces present. Among those he briefed were personnel from the G/18 unit of the Adhoc 383 CRPF and the D/24 unit of the Adhoc 626 Indo-Tibetan Border Police.
Singh provided clear directives to the forces regarding poll security. He stressed the importance of adhering strictly to the guidelines set forth by the Election Commission of India (ECI). He also underscored the necessity of maintaining vigilance and discipline to ensure a voting environment that is peaceful, free, and transparent.

The review conducted by Singh highlighted the coordinated efforts of the central armed police forces aimed at preventing disruptions, maintaining law and order, and safeguarding the democratic process during the elections.
The security measures reflect a strong commitment to ensuring that every voter can participate in the electoral process without fear or intimidation.
