COAS General Upendra Dwivedi Visits Arunachal Pradesh Governor for Strategic Discussion During Spear Corps Trip

During his current visit to Spear Corps, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi met with Lieutenant General Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik (Retd), the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, on September 18, 2025.

In their meeting, General Dwivedi commended the people of Arunachal Pradesh, referring to them as the "sentinels of the Himalayas" and highlighting their role in representing India’s unity and determination.

He emphasized the Indian Army's unwavering dedication to safeguarding the nation's borders, enhancing military-civil relations, and providing opportunities for peace, progress, and youth development in the region.

General Dwivedi also reiterated the Army's commitment to maintaining readiness along the eastern borders, while also fostering prosperity and stability in this strategically important area.
