CME Pune Hosts Motivational Visit for 47 Sainik School Sujanpur Tira Cadets

The College of Military Engineering (CME), Pune, hosted a motivational visit for cadets of Sainik School Sujanpur Tira on October 4, 2026, giving the students a first-hand look at the institution’s military heritage and training environment.

A total of 47 cadets, accompanied by four instructors, took part in the visit. The programme was designed to familiarise them with the history of the Corps of Engineers, the traditions associated with the Sappers, and the training pathways available to young aspirants entering military life.

The visit began at the Corps Archive Museum, where the cadets were introduced to the rich military history and heritage of the Sappers. The museum stop offered them an opportunity to understand the legacy of the Corps and its place in India’s military tradition.

The delegation later visited the Cadets Training Wing, where they were briefed on the nuances of military training under the Technical Entry Scheme. The interaction gave the students insight into how technical training is structured for cadets preparing for military service.

According to the information shared about the visit, the briefing at the Cadets Training Wing also emphasised the values associated with military service, including discipline and selfless service to the nation. For the cadets, the interaction linked classroom-based aspiration with the practical realities of military training and service.

Taken together, the two stops provided the visiting group with a broad introduction to both sides of military life: the historical and institutional legacy preserved at the Corps Archive Museum, and the professional training environment represented by the Cadets Training Wing. The programme was intended to motivate the students and expose them to the culture and ethos of the College of Military Engineering.

The visit brought together cadets and instructors from Sainik School Sujanpur Tira in a setting that combined heritage, exposure and orientation. It also reinforced the role of such outreach programmes in familiarising young students with the demands and values of military life.
