Captain Parul Yadav Leads Advanced Gunnery Course Graduates at School of Artillery
The Advanced Gunnery Course at the School of Artillery concluded on May 14, 2026. Officers from the Indian Army, several friendly foreign countries, and the Border Security Force successfully completed the program.
This 17-week course was designed to provide participants with advanced skills in artillery and firepower management, essential for their roles as Battery Commanders during operational missions.
The course featured attendees from the Indian Army, as well as seven officers from Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Malawi. Additionally, one officer from the Border Security Force participated, underscoring ongoing international military cooperation and professional exchange.

During the valedictory ceremony, Lieutenant General NS Sarna, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, who is the Commandant of the School of Artillery, congratulated the award recipients.
For her exceptional performance throughout the course, Captain Parul Yadav was named First in the Order of Merit.

Major MASS Abeyrathne from the Sri Lanka Army was acknowledged as the Best Student among the officers from friendly foreign nations.

This course underscores the Indian Army's dedication to advancing artillery training, achieving operational excellence, and enhancing defence partnerships with allied countries.
