BSF's All-Women Team Conquers Mount Everest in Historic Mission Vande Mataram Achievement

In a groundbreaking achievement, the Border Security Force (BSF) has made history with its first all-women team successfully reaching the summit of Mount Everest. The team accomplished this feat on May 21, 2026, under the banner of Mission Vande Mataram, conquering the world's highest peak.

The expedition consisted of four BSF constables: Kouser Fatima from Ladakh, Munmun Ghosh from West Bengal, Rabeka Singh from Uttarakhand, and Tsering Chorol from Kargil.

Reaching an elevation of 8,848.86 meters, the team achieved the summit around 8 AM IST. This accomplishment not only marks a significant moment in the history of the BSF but also highlights the capabilities of women-led mountaineering expeditions in India.

This climb was part of the BSF Diamond Jubilee Year celebrations, where the Mahila Seema Praharis carried the spirit of “Vande Mataram” to the highest point on Earth. Against the challenges of extreme altitudes and low oxygen, the team sang “Vande Mataram” in unison, demonstrating their courage, patriotism, resilience, and the indomitable spirit of women empowerment, or Nari Shakti.

This remarkable achievement serves as a proud emblem of women empowerment and national pride, reflecting the BSF's dedication to excellence, adventure, and service to the nation.
