Battalion Cadet Captain Sushant Varma from Panther Squadron achieved the highest distinction in the Social Science stream during the Convocation Ceremony of the National Defence Academy's 150th Course, attaining first place with a Final Grade Point Average of 7.35.

Recognized for his exemplary academic performance in the Bachelor of Arts program, Varma received the esteemed Commandant’s Silver Medal and the Chief of the Air Staff Trophy, established by Air Chief Marshal NC Suri, a retired former Chief of the Air Staff.

Originating from Jammu and Kashmir, Sushant Varma attended Army Public School Damana, where he developed his academic prowess and leadership skills prior to enrolling at the NDA.

The accolade was bestowed during a ceremony at Khadakwasla on May 29, where graduates of the 150th NDA Course were honored for their scholastic accomplishments as they prepared for commissioning into the Armed Forces.

During his time at the academy, Varma consistently excelled academically while also meeting the rigorous military training and leadership demands expected of cadets.

His success underscores the NDA's dedication to cultivating well-rounded military leaders proficient in both academic and military disciplines, as well as in leadership and character development.

The Convocation Ceremony celebrated 236 cadets who received degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University, marking a significant step in their path to becoming military officers.

Sushant Varma's achievement is a source of pride for Army Public School Damana and serves as a beacon for aspiring defense candidates from Jammu and Kashmir who aspire to serve their country.
