Bhopal/Gwalior: An assistant professor with advanced educational qualifications was arrested after allegedly attempting to hurl petrol-filled beer bottles near the main gate of the Indian Air Force Station in Gwalior's Maharajpura area on Tuesday night, August 4, 2026. "He claims that his brain has been hacked by the Indian Air Force and they are controlling him. According to him, this is why he boarded a train from Andhra Pradesh and reached Gwalior," stated SSP Yadav.

Described as highly qualified, he completed an MCA from Noida and an MTech from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal. Most recently, he worked as an Assistant Professor at a private engineering college in Tiruvuru, Andhra Pradesh, since May 2026. Some reports identify him as Rakesh Kumar, although this may be a changed or provisional name.

The family informed investigators that the man had been receiving neurological treatment for five to eight years and that they had mostly lost contact with him. Relatives also mentioned his history of wandering through different cities and reaching border areas.
