Assam Rifles Honors Skill Development Graduates in Manipur's Youth Empowerment Initiative

On October 4, 2025, Assam Rifles held a felicitation ceremony in Kaisampat, Imphal, to recognize the successful participants of its Skill Development Programme 4.0. This initiative aims to empower local youth by providing vocational training and employment opportunities.
The programme, organized in collaboration with Imphal-based We Care Skill Solutions, focused on skill development and offered specialized training in Hospitality and Retail to 56 young individuals. The group included 18 boys and 30 girls who completed a 12-week course designed to enhance their employability and prepare them for careers in the service sector.
The ceremony was attended by the DIG of Assam Rifles and the Director of the Gaurav Pradhan Foundation, a Ghaziabad-based NGO that financially supported the initiative. During the event, participants received certificates from the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and job offers from renowned employers, such as The Leela Palace (Jaipur), Leela Ambience & Convention Centre (New Delhi), Sunday Hotel & Residences (Gurgaon), and Foodlink F&B Holdings Ltd. (Mumbai). These newly trained professionals are set to begin their careers in Jaipur, Delhi, and Mumbai.

In his speech, the DIG praised the participants for their dedication and hard work, highlighting the transformative impact of skill development on their futures. He acknowledged the cooperative efforts of We Care Skill Solutions and the Gaurav Pradhan Foundation, urging the youth to become "Brand Ambassadors" of Manipur’s rich culture and heritage.
This is the fourth edition of Assam Rifles’ Skill Development Programme since June 2024, through which approximately 200 young people have already found meaningful employment. The programme underscores Assam Rifles’ commitment to fostering socio-economic growth, improving livelihood opportunities, and empowering youth across the Northeast.
The ceremony on October 4 not only celebrated the achievements of the trainees but also reaffirmed Assam Rifles’ ongoing mission to create a skilled, self-reliant, and prosperous future for the region.
