Assam Rifles Conducts Medical Outreach in Tripura and Assam, Reaching Over 450 Villagers

The Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Spear Corps, conducted a series of medical outreach programs in the states of Tripura and Assam. These initiatives aimed to deliver essential healthcare services to isolated communities and increase awareness about preventive health measures.

One of the key activities included a free medical camp held at Fatikcherra Village in Tripura. This event served over 450 residents, providing them with medical and eye examinations, consultations, necessary medications, and preventive healthcare advice. The primary goal was to make quality healthcare accessible to those in remote regions where regular medical services are often scarce.

The camp enabled villagers to consult with medical professionals and obtain basic treatments and advice for common health issues. Eye examinations were conducted to detect vision-related problems, offering timely guidance to those affected. The distribution of essential medicines was crucial in meeting the immediate healthcare needs of the local community.

In addition to the efforts in Tripura, the Assam Rifles extended their medical services to NCC cadets at CATC-38 in Maibang, Assam. The cadets received medical attention and participated in an interactive health awareness session covering topics such as hygiene, nutrition, first aid, and the prevention of seasonal diseases.

These awareness sessions encouraged cadets to cultivate healthy lifestyle habits and be prepared for basic medical emergencies. By engaging with the youth, the initiative also sought to enhance understanding of personal health, community sanitation, and preventive care practices.

These medical outreach activities are part of Assam Rifles’ ongoing commitment to community support in the North East through welfare initiatives. By merging medical assistance with health education, the program aimed to fulfill immediate healthcare needs and foster long-term awareness among villagers and young cadets.

Such outreach programs are vital in building trust with local communities and ensuring that necessary services reach individuals in remote and underserved areas.
