Assam Rifles Bids Farewell to Havildar John Famhoite with Full Military Honours in Manipur

Havildar John Famhoite of the 17 Assam Regiment was accorded a solemn farewell by the Assam Rifles, as he was laid to rest with full military honours in Rengkai, located in Manipur's Churachandpur district.

The final rites were conducted with great dignity and respect, highlighting the nation's deep appreciation for his dedicated service and ultimate sacrifice. The ceremony drew a significant emotional response as both military personnel and civilians gathered to pay tribute to the fallen soldier.

In attendance were officials and troops from the Assam Rifles, approximately 25 veterans, ex-servicemen, family members, and local residents, all present to honour him. The gathering was infused with patriotism and a solemn sense of remembrance, uniting the community in a final farewell.

The Sector Commander of Assam Rifles, Churachandpur, laid a wreath on behalf of all ranks to pay respect to the deceased soldier. This act symbolized solidarity with his grieving family and recognized his sacrifice for the nation.

The tribute highlighted the steadfast commitment of the armed forces and paramilitary units to honour their fallen comrades, ensuring their courage and service are remembered with pride and dignity.
