Army Training Command Leader Applauds Golden Arrow Division's Operational Mastery

Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, who leads the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), visited the Golden Arrow Division on July 14, where he commended the unit for its outstanding operational readiness and adaptation to new technologies.
This visit, taking place amidst a renewed emphasis on modernization and strategic preparedness, showcased the Golden Arrow Division's dedication to professional excellence. Lt Gen Sharma engaged with the officers and troops, praising their discipline, motivation, and dedication to innovation in planning and executing operations.

The Golden Arrow Division, noted for its valor in the 1965 and 1999 wars, continues to be pivotal in India's defense strategy. The division has integrated emerging technologies into battlefield operations, in line with Lt Gen Sharma's focus on future warfare. He encouraged personnel to incorporate smart systems and automation to enable quick, precise, and effective responses in complex situations.
Assuming command of ARTRAC on July 1, 2024, Lt Gen Sharma is recognized for his progressive leadership. His previous roles as GOC of the Vajra Corps and Chief of Staff at Western Command have provided him with extensive operational experience, which now guides ARTRAC's mission to transform military training and doctrine within the Indian Army.
