Air Vice Marshal RK Anadure Takes Over as Eastern Air Command's Principal Medical Officer

On May 22, 2026, Air Vice Marshal RK Anadure, VSM**, took office as the Principal Medical Officer of the Eastern Air Command, succeeding Air Vice Marshal Arijit Sen.

Air Vice Marshal Anadure, who graduated from the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, began his service in the Indian Army on January 13, 1993.

As a highly regarded neurologist, he brings a wealth of clinical and administrative expertise gathered over more than 30 years in the military medical field, having occupied several key positions.

Before his current role, he was the Deputy Commandant and a Senior Instructor at the Officers Training College, AMC Centre & College.

This appointment underscores the Armed Forces Medical Services' ongoing commitment to enhancing medical leadership, providing robust operational healthcare support, and advancing specialized medical knowledge within the Armed Forces.
