Air Marshal Tejbir Singh Appointed as Director General of Inspection and Safety at IAF

Air Marshal Tejbir Singh has taken on the role of Director General (Inspection & Safety) at Air Headquarters, following a distinguished career of over 37 years in the Indian Air Force. An alumnus of the Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS) in the UK, he has logged more than 7,000 flying hours and is credited with significant advancements in the C-130J Super Hercules Special Operations capability.

With extensive operational experience, strong leadership skills, and expertise in safety and inspection, Air Marshal Tejbir Singh is expected to enhance the Indian Air Force's safety protocols and operational preparedness significantly.

He assumes the position from Air Marshal M. B. Ranade, who retired on November 30, 2025, after a commendable 39-year career. The Indian Air Force honored Air Marshal Ranade for his outstanding service, professionalism, and his enduring contributions to air operations and organizational excellence.

This leadership transition underscores the continuing dedication to enhancing flight safety and operational standards within the Indian Air Force.
