Air Marshal Seethepalli Shrinivas Takes Charge of Indian Air Force Training Command

On January 1, 2026, Air Marshal Seethepalli Shrinivas officially took the reins as the head of the Training Command of the Indian Air Force. Upon his appointment, he reviewed a ceremonial guard of honour at the headquarters of the Training Command and also paid his respects at the Training Command War Memorial.

Air Marshal Shrinivas, who was commissioned into the Indian Air Force on June 13, 1987, brings extensive experience with over 4,200 hours of flight time. Throughout his distinguished career, he has led three top training institutions, a frontline fighter base along the western border, a premier flying training base, an Advanced Headquarters, and the Institute of Aerospace Safety, highlighting his significant expertise in training, safety, and operational aspects.

His career also includes crucial staff roles such as Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Personnel Officers) at Air Headquarters and Operations Staff at HQ Central Air Command. In his instructional capacity, he has served as Chief Instructor (Flying) at the Air Force Academy and Directing Staff at the College of Air Warfare. Most recently, he held the position of Senior Air Staff Officer at HQ South Western Air Command before his current appointment.

In his role as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Training Command, Air Marshal Shrinivas is set to guide the IAF's training strategies, updating curricula and enhancing capacity to develop air warriors prepared for future operational demands.
