Air Marshal S Sivakumar Appointed as Air Officer-in-Charge Administration at Indian Air Force Headquarters

Air Marshal S Sivakumar, VSM, has assumed the role of Air Officer-in-Charge Administration (AOA) at Air Headquarters in New Delhi as of July 1, 2025. His new position brings a wealth of experience and an impressive service record to the senior leadership of the Indian Air Force.

Air Marshal Sivakumar was commissioned into the Administration branch of the Indian Air Force in June 1990. He holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from Pondicherry University and an MPhil in Defence and Strategic Studies from Osmania University.

Throughout his 35-year career, he has occupied several significant command and staff roles. These include positions such as Senior Air Traffic Control Officer at a forward air base, Chief Administrative Officer at a top flying station, and Air Officer Commanding of an Equipment Depot. He has also represented the Indian Air Force in a United Nations Mission in Congo and held the role of Air Force Examiner.

At a strategic level, Air Marshal Sivakumar has served as Command Works Officer and Command Personnel Staff Officer at two operational commands. He has also been the Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Air Force Works) and, more recently, the Director General (Administration) at Air Headquarters.

He has received the Vishisht Seva Medal in recognition of his high order of distinguished service. His appointment as Air Officer-in-Charge Administration is anticipated to further enhance the administrative and operational aspects of the Indian Air Force.
