Air Marshal Praveen Keshav Vohra Takes on Role as Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff for Policy and Force Development

Air Marshal Praveen Keshav Vohra, awarded UYSM, AVSM, VM, has taken on the role of Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Policy Planning & Force Development) at the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS).

In this position, Air Marshal Vohra will be instrumental in formulating strategic policies, planning for long-term force development, and enhancing the joint operational frameworks among the Indian Armed Forces' three branches.

Extensive Operational and Staff Experience

Before his current appointment, Air Marshal Vohra held a variety of operational and staff roles within the Indian Air Force, where he made notable contributions to operational planning, policy development, and initiatives aimed at enhancing capabilities.

With his comprehensive experience in strategic planning and force development, he is anticipated to significantly influence the modernization and integration of India's military capabilities.

Boost to Tri-Services Coordination

This appointment is expected to further fortify coordination among the three services, enhance joint policy directives, and drive integrated capability development. These efforts align with the Raksha Mantri's vision of improving inter-service synergy and jointness.
