Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra Evaluates Readiness and Initiatives at Faridabad Air Force Station

Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Air Command, conducted an official visit to Air Force Station Faridabad on December 10, 2025. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the station's operational readiness and review ongoing welfare initiatives.

The AOC-in-C was welcomed upon his arrival by Group Captain V. Viswanathan, the Station Commander. Group Captain Viswanathan provided a detailed briefing on crucial operational activities, recent administrative advancements, and efforts aimed at boosting the station's overall efficiency.

During his visit, Air Marshal Mishra observed the Passing Out Parade of No. 80 Explosive Detection Dog Course at the Air Force K9 School. He praised the institution for maintaining high training standards and for its innovative approach to preparing canines for explosive detection tasks. The newly trained dogs will be deployed in various operational units, enhancing security and counter-threat measures.

The Air Marshal also carried out an inspection of the station’s major logistics facilities, evaluating aspects such as storage, warehousing, and the efficiency of supply chains crucial for supporting frontline air operations. He highlighted the necessity of high logistical readiness to facilitate swift support in operational emergencies.

As the Indian Air Force continues its efforts to modernize its combat, surveillance, and air mobility capabilities, the AOC-in-C emphasized the importance of such field visits. These visits are vital for assessing real-time challenges, improving coordination, and strengthening mission preparedness across all units.
