Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit's Keynote at DSSC Wellington Highlights Evolving Warfare and Military Reforms
Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, serving as the Chief of the Integrated Defence Staff (CISC), visited the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC) in Wellington from March 22 to 24, 2026. During this visit, he delivered a speech to members of the 81st Staff Course.
While at the college, Air Marshal Dixit engaged with officers from the Indian Armed Forces, representatives from allied nations, and the DSSC's permanent faculty members.
In his address, he underscored the evolving nature of warfare, urging military leaders to adjust to new challenges and technologies that are constantly emerging.
Air Marshal Dixit also stressed the significance of inter-service cooperation and synergy to effectively tackle the evolving security landscape, further discussing ongoing military reforms that are transforming the forces.
He was briefed by the DSSC Commandant about the current training programs and praised the institution for its crucial role in developing future military leaders.
The Air Marshal highlighted that professional military education is essential for improving operational readiness and informed decision-making capabilities.
His visit reinforced the value of integrated training, strategic thinking, and the development of joint capabilities in bolstering India's defence readiness.
