AFCAT 02/2026 Admit Card Released: Download Now for Examination on 8 August 2026
The Indian Air Force has issued the AFCAT 02/2026 Admit Card as of August 5, 2026. Candidates who have successfully completed their applications for the Air Force Common Admission Test can now access and download their hall tickets via the official website, afcat.edcil.co.in.
The examination is set to take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026. This session aims to fill approximately 379 tentative openings in both the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches for courses that will commence in July 2027.
Candidates are required to promptly download and print clear copies of their admit cards. Entry to the examination center will be denied without a printed version of the e-admit card paired with an original photo identification document.

How to Download AFCAT 2 Admit Card 2026
Follow these steps carefully:
- Visit the official website – https://afcat.edcil.co.in
- Click on the Candidate Login / AFCAT 02/2026 Admit Card link.
- Enter your registered Email ID and Password.
- Enter the security pin/captcha code.
- Click on Sign In.
- Download the admit card PDF that appears on your dashboard.
- Take at least 2–3 clear printouts on A4 paper and keep a soft copy safely.
No hard copy of the admit card will be sent by post or email. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to download it on time.

Exam Schedule & Shift Timings
The AFCAT 02/2026 written examination will be conducted in two shifts. Exact reporting time and shift for each candidate are printed on the individual admit card. The general schedule followed is:
Shift 1 (Morning)
- Reporting Time: Approximately 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM
- Gate Closing Time: Around 9:30 AM
- Exam Timing: 9:45 AM – 11:45 AM
Shift 2 (Afternoon)
- Reporting Time: Approximately 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM
- Gate Closing Time: Around 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM
- Exam Timing: Approximately 2:45 PM – 4:45 PM
Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination centre after the gate closing time under any circumstances. Reach the centre well in advance to complete biometric verification, photograph capturing, and document checks.

There is no sectional time limit. The paper is objective type with multiple-choice questions.

Selection Process
The selection process for AFCAT 02/2026 consists of the following stages:
- Online Written Examination (AFCAT)
- Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Testing – Includes Officer Intelligence Rating Test, Picture Perception & Discussion Test, Psychological Tests, Group Testing Officer Tasks, and Personal Interview. Flying Branch candidates also undergo the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS).
- Medical Examination
- Final Merit List
NCC Special Entry and GATE Score Entry candidates are generally exempted from the written examination and are called directly for AFSB (subject to meeting eligibility criteria).
