During the ongoing Army Commanders’ Conference (ACC), Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi spoke to senior military officials about the current security environment, emphasizing the significance of maritime security.

The Navy Chief highlighted the essential role of Sea Lines of Communication (SLOCs) in maintaining the flow of energy supplies, trade, and global commerce, which are integral to India's economic and strategic interests.

He assured that the Indian Navy remains committed to safeguarding key shipping lanes, particularly in the strategically crucial Indo-Pacific area.

Admiral Tripathi drew attention to the evolving landscape of warfare, pointing out the increasing reliance on new technologies such as unmanned systems, cyber capabilities, and space-based assets.

He stressed the necessity for the military to enhance its readiness and adaptability to effectively counter these emerging threats.

The Admiral called for stronger cooperation between the Army, Navy, and Air Force, suggesting that theaterisation reforms will further bolster this joint effort in addressing modern security challenges.

His remarks signify a strategic transition towards integrated and multi-domain operations, aiming to provide a unified response to both conventional and unconventional threats.
