A significant military event unfolded in Belagavi as 494 Agniveers of the 6th Batch were officially attested at The MARATHA Light Infantry Regimental Centre (MLIRC). The ceremonial parade, which was characterized by its precision and flawless drill, was overseen by Major General Hari Bhaskaran Pillai, Additional Director General Recruiting (States).
Under the command of Agniveer Pawan Yallakuri, the parade highlighted the outstanding demeanor, discipline, and presentation of the young soldiers who have successfully completed their demanding training to join one of the Indian Army’s most prestigious infantry regiments.

The ceremony also featured the traditional Oath of Affirmation, reinforcing the Agniveers' pledge to serve the country with bravery and integrity. This was followed by a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Sharqat War Memorial, honoring the regiment's fallen soldiers.

In a gesture of appreciation, the proud parents of the newly attested Agniveers were awarded the Gaurav Padak, reflecting the Army’s gratitude for their steadfast support and sacrifices.
